I am for women. I am for life. I am for adoption. And I love God's redemption for each and every one of us 💕.
"After having our first son, we pursued domestic adoption to find our youngest son. I had always wanted to make adoption a reality for my family. Originally, I'd never thought to adopt though CPS. God had a different plan for us though, and we brought our youngest son into our family through domestic, CPS adoption! It was an eye-opening experience and broke my heart for children in our system, but through it, God crafted the most amazing story for our family.
I have always been pro-life, an easy thing to say from the outside. After seeing the realties of what that means through the lens of struggling families and a broken system, I am convinced more than ever that not only is every life valuable, but every child deserves a family. In order to make that happen, we need more adoption families than ever.
Our son’s birth families’ story is one that I will always hold close to my heart. Our story is not like some you hear, about birth families who choose adoption at infancy, but comes from a place of desperation and brokenness. We were never able to experience a relationship with his birth mom, but I will forever be grateful for her choosing to give Nate life, and for allowing us to show Nate God’s love and give him the best life we can provide.
Saying 'yes' to adoption was the most radical and beautiful thing my family has done. After our son entered our home, people started seeing how cute he was, how well-adjusted and integrated into our family he was, and how 'normal' an adoptive family could be. Then, families began asking us questions about the process, discussing their fears, and asking how they could start the adoption process for their family.
